Couple's Portraits: Vicky & Caleb
Spring and fall are the perfect times to get outside with your partner for gorgeous couple’s photos. Now that March is in full swing — how?!? — we’re going to focus this week on couple’s portrait sessions. Let’s take a look back at an October session with Vicky and Caleb, who wanted some cute photos to put on display in their brand new home. This beautiful session took place at Valley Forge National Historical Park in King of Prussia, PA.

Caleb must be a natural model — he knew exactly how to pose. It’s important to fall into some natural poses in a portrait shoot so you look more comfortable. But, if you aren’t sure how to pose, we’ll help you out!

The beauty of photographing sessions at national parks is that there are so many cool places and structures. By just roaming around, Ashley, Vicky, and Caleb stumbled on some stunning backdrops for this portrait session.

Golden. Hour. We cannot stress that enough. It’s the first hour of light after sunrise and the last hour of light before sunset. The exact times are all about the season, so be sure to check the day’s sunrise or sunset times when scheduling if you want golden hour photos in your session.

What’s a romantic photo shoot without some wine? Picnic food and wine make great portrait session props!

If these aren’t the perfect photos for a new home, we don’t know what is.

Candid, playful moments are just as important as posed photos. Again, it’s all about capturing you in a natural and comfortable state. Clients often end up choosing candid shots as their favorites!
